When outsourcing data collection makes sense And when a tool or another of our services fits better

A good fit when

  • Your team spends days a month copying data from websites into spreadsheets
  • You need the same sources checked every day or every week
  • Some records need a person's judgment, so a scraper alone keeps getting them wrong

Look elsewhere when

  • You need one list once and can buy it from a data vendor
  • The data already sits in your systems and only needs cleaning
  • You want personal data the source doesn't allow anyone to collect

What our data collection services cover Where the data comes from, how we check it, and how it reaches you

Online and offline data capture

Most of the data a business needs sits somewhere public: retailer sites, property portals, company registries, provider directories, and review sites. We collect it from the web, from PDFs and scanned documents, and from surveys you run online or on paper.

Every source goes on one list with the fields it gives you, how often it changes, and who owns it on our side. You see the list before anything is collected.

Agents do the volume, people make the judgment calls

AI agents visit each source, read the page, and capture the fields you asked for. When a record doesn't fit your rules, such as two products that might be the same or an address that looks wrong, the agent sends it to a person.

A trained reviewer decides each flagged record and fixes it. Each correction becomes an example the agents learn from, so fewer records need a person next time.

  • Every field checked against the format you agreed
  • Duplicates matched and merged before delivery
  • A reason written down for every record a person changed

Data capture services for a wide range of industries

The method stays the same across industries. What changes is the source list and the rules a record has to pass before it reaches you.

  • Competitor prices, products, stock, and reviews for retailers
  • Listings, sales, appraisals, and owner records for real estate firms
  • Provider, facility, and payer data for healthcare companies
  • Filings, market data, and company profiles for financial firms
  • Fares, room rates, and guest reviews for travel companies
  • Institutions, programs, and course listings for education providers
  • Campaign mentions and audience data for media and advertising teams

Surveys, forms, and offline data

Not all data lives on websites. We capture responses from online surveys in SurveyMonkey, Google Forms, and Zoho Survey, and from paper surveys, mail-in forms, and interviews.

Each response is entered against your codebook, and a person checks every answer the agents can't read or place.

Database building, verification, and appending

Collection is often the first step of a bigger job. We can build the database the data goes into, verify the records you already hold, and fill the gaps in them.

Those services have their own pages under Clean, complete records, and they run on the same people and checks as the collection.

How we keep collected data secure

We collect only the sites and fields you approve in writing, and we check each site's terms with you before the first run. Your data stays in the storage you choose, with access limited to the people on your project.

If a source holds personal data, we agree with you which fields may be kept and which are dropped at collection.

How data delivery works

You get the data in the format your team already uses: CSV, Excel, JSON, XML, or a direct load into your CRM, database, or data warehouse. Runs can be one-off, daily, weekly, or triggered when a source changes.

Each delivery comes with a short note: how many records, how many a person changed, and anything unusual about the sources.

Questions about data collection services What buyers ask us before they start

Why should companies outsource data collection?

Collecting data by hand takes your team's time away from the work only they can do. A data collection company already has the agents, the reviewers, and the checks in place, so it can start in a week and grow with the volume. You pay for finished records instead of building a team.

What kind of data do your teams collect?

Product prices and stock for retailers, listings and sales for real estate, provider and facility records for healthcare, and company and contact data for sales teams. We also collect text, images, and audio to train AI models. If it's on a public source, or in documents you send us, we can collect it.

How do you ensure the security of data during collection?

We collect only the sources and fields you approve, and access is limited to the people on your project. Data is stored where you choose. Where a source holds personal data, we agree with you up front which fields are kept.

How much does a data collection project cost?

We price per record or per source, so you pay for finished data rather than hours. The price depends on how many sources there are, how hard each one is to read, and how often it runs. We quote after a sample run, so you see the data before you commit.

How long does it take to start?

We start with a sample of a few hundred records, so you can check the fields before anything else runs. The full run starts once you've approved the sample and we've agreed the rules for the records that need a person. The number of sources and how hard each one is to read set the pace.
