Video labeling for computer vision models Damco tracks, labels, and describes what happens in your footage

Track objects across framesEach object keeps one ID from the moment it enters until it leaves.
Detect and classify objectsBoxes, polygons, and masks on the objects your model must find.
Estimate poses and actionsJoints and movements marked, so models can follow what people do.
Mark events and scenesStart and end times for each event, with a description of the scene.

How our video annotation process works From sample clips to annotated footage your model can train on

  1. Week 1Agree the guideWe annotate sample clips with you, including rules for hidden objects.
  2. Week 2Run a pilotYou review pilot clips, and we fix the rules where tracks went wrong.
  3. From week 3Annotate at volumeAgents fill in frames between keyframes, and annotators fix the breaks.
  4. Every batchReview and sign offA reviewer replays a sample, and the batch owner signs off.

When to outsource video annotation And when image annotation or content moderation fits better

A good fit when

  • You have hours of footage and need every object tracked
  • Objects overlap, leave the frame, and come back
  • You need poses or actions, not only boxes

Look elsewhere when

  • Still frames taken from the video are enough for your model
  • Your footage can't leave your premises, and remote access isn't possible
  • You need live streams checked against your rules, which is content moderation

Video annotation services in detail Tracking, detection, poses, and how we keep long clips consistent

Object localization and tracking

Tracking gives each object one ID across every frame, so the model learns that the car in frame 10 is the same car in frame 400. We label object segments, the context around them, and a description of the scene.

Most errors happen when an object is hidden and then reappears. Those frames go to a person, who decides whether it's the same object.

Object detection in video

We detect and classify the objects your model cares about in each frame, using boxes, polygons, segmentation, or landmarks. The technique depends on how exact the edges must be and how fast the objects move.

Pose estimation

Pose estimation marks a person's joints in every frame and joins them into a skeleton. Models use it to follow how people move in sports, physical therapy, retail aisles, and factory safety footage.

Frame-by-frame annotation with less effort

Annotating every frame by hand is slow. Agents fill in the shapes between keyframes that a person draws, and they flag the frames where the motion doesn't fit.

Annotators then fix only those frames. That cuts the hours per clip without letting tracks drift.

Video annotation for every industry

We annotate driving footage for driver assistance, store and warehouse footage for retail and logistics, drone footage for agriculture and inspection, and match footage for sports analytics.

Questions about video annotation services What teams ask before they outsource video annotation

What is video annotation?

Video annotation labels the objects, people, and events in footage so a computer vision model can learn from it. Unlike image annotation, it keeps each object's identity from frame to frame.

How do you keep object IDs consistent across long clips?

We write rules for objects that are hidden, leave and come back, or split and merge. Agents propose each track, and a person decides every break. A reviewer replays a sample of each batch before it ships.

Which video formats and outputs do you support?

We take common formats such as MP4, MOV, and AVI, or frames you've already extracted. We deliver tracks and labels as JSON, XML, or CSV, or in the format your tool reads.

How is video annotation priced?

We price per minute of footage, per frame, or per tracked object, depending on what you need. The price comes from a pilot on your own footage.
